All about Black Moonstone~ Moonstone is a member of the Feldspar group of minerals. It typically displays a white to blue flash called adularescence, after mines worked historically in the Adula mountains in Switzerland. Rarely, gold tone flashes can also appear.
As the name implies, Moonstone has a strong lunar connection. The black variety is known as "new moon stone" or "womb stone". Like the new moon, it is associated metaphysically with initiating new beginnings, purification, and the divine feminine.
