Charoite only comes from one mine in the world located in the Murun Mountains in Yakutia, Russia. It is quite rare and hard to find, especially in high grades.
Charoite has a rich purple color, with swirl and feather patterning. Charoite can contain varying inclusion areas or stars of black (Aegirine) and transparent crystals (Microcline Feldspar) or an orangish coloring (Tinaksite).
