Halite is a natural crystal formation, and is quite fragile. Though the top crystal structure is fairly stable, it is normal for little pieces to fall off the backsides. Color is best preserved out of direct sunlight, think crystal case, not sunny window!
If it needs cleaning, please use a can of air, no water as it will degrade the crystal structure. For energy clearing, Selenite or moonlight vs water is advised.
